Another beautiful morning greeted us as we left the harbour and headed into the shallows, where we did not need to wait long for the sharks to arrive. Early on we had a very big male around 4m come by for a visit! In the end we had seen nine different individual sharks including two larger than average sharks. We were also lucky to see a satellite tagged shark and our morning guides, Elias and Alison, on the boat let the divers know the importance of tagging and tracking in the research of these amazing animals. Our second trip of the day launched with the same lovely sunshine coming down on us however the wind had increased. We arrived at our dive area and before retrieving our anchor and cage that had been left out from the previous trip, we had spotted an individual behind the boat making its way closer! The first shark ended up being one of our large males by the name of “Alvin” a great addition to have on any trip, only moments later we had a larger, darker individual come into view and then quickly followed by a smaller, active individual. The trips today saw some truly amazing activity with numerous leaps and speedy turns that left even the crew in awe! A JAWsome day out on the water…
