Dive Gear
The Gear
Trying to put on a damp, sticky wetsuit that somebody else recently peeled off his/her body is probably one of the physically hardest and psychologically most unappetising and repulsive things to do. Apart from the mammoth battle to get into it – it’s hard enough when its bone dry! – the mere idea of a stranger’s body odours and excretions rubbing off on you can be quite revolting.
Marine Dynamics has invested in over 100 wetsuits so that we can guarantee a clean dry wetsuit for every client. None of our clients wear someone else’s skin! We not only pride ourselves on our pioneering initiatives to combine sustainable eco-friendly marine tourism and adventure with research, education and conservation, but also the superior standard we set and maintain regarding unrivalled quality of service, skills and products.
Squeaky Clean
All bathroom facilities on the boat and at the offices at the Great White House are spic and span, hygienically clean and boast separate facilities for men and women. Great care is taken that all diving gear – from the 7 mm wetsuits and masks to the booties and towels – is washed in soapy water and dried after it has been used once.
Before the boat launch, all guests are fitted with comfortable inflatable life-jackets which must be worn while travelling to and from the anchor site. Safety is of the utmost importance. As it can get quite chilly on the boat, guests are also provided with water/windproof jackets in different sizes (from small to extra extra large) if they did not bring their own. A kit containing squeaky clean diving gear for each diver is pre-packed before we set off on foot to the slipway. This includes a wetsuit with a hoodie, as well as a clean towel. Masks, booties and weight belts are supplied to you before entering the cage.
Since we provide an early breakfast or lunch prior to the trip, as well as light meals, snacks and drinks on board, guests need only bring their cameras, sunscreen and a hat/cap for sun protection . . . and put on a happy face! The rest is up to us to treat you to an unforgettable experience! Our expert videographer will ensure you have memorable footage (and proof!) of the trip to share back home with friends and family.
