What a lovely end to the month, we had some fantastic conditions today out on the water with the seas flat and th sun shining. What could make the day any better you may ask…SHARKS of course! The first trip of the day started off well with a large female approximately 3.7m in length spotted as we anchored. This female has been a frequent visitor to our boat the last few days and whilst she isn’t one to show off in front of the cage flashing her teeth and leaping about she stays with us and circles constantly cruising gracefully past. This trip also saw two males around the 3.0m length and a curious juvenile that came up to have investigate what was going on. The second trip of the day was for a family of four from America, one of which had already seen White sharks off the west coast at the Farallon Island and three who were excited to have their first encounter. The calm and curious 3.7m female was still around when we arrived and yet again stuck with us for the entire trip allowing some magnificent views of her in the clear winter waters! We also had two juveniles not that interested in sticking around possibly because of the constant presence of the larger sharks including two new arrivals for the day, both males and both between 3.5m-4.0m in length. A spectacular day at the Island…
