Unfortunately we had to deal with some rain this morning. To make sure people didn’t have to get changed into their wetsuit in the rain they got changed into their wetsuits at the Great white house. Fortunately the weather got better as we were out at sea. It took some time for the first shark to show up but this gave us the opportunity to answer the many questions we got as the people were very curious about the sharks. As soon as the first shark showed up everyone got excited and moved to the side of the boat where the cage was attached as this is where we see most of the action happening. We ended up seeing 4 different sharks on our first trip including Pieter! (Not our skipper ;)! On our second trip we spotted a Sunfish on our way to the dive site so we stopped to have a closer look. It was very relaxed and breached the surface partially. We got to the dive site and Pieter was around before we even got the cage attached to the boat. He stayed around for quite some time and came really close to the cage! We ended up seeing 6 different sharks including a few familiar faces. One of the sharks was quite shy and made only 1 pass, this was however the biggest shark of the day estimated to be 4.3m in length.
