Location: Wilfred’s Klip
Water Temperature: 14.6’C + 14.8’C
Depth: 19.9m + 20.0m
Visibility: 3.0m + 4.0m
Number of Sharks: 8 + 5
Conditions: Increasing winds and swell.

The difference a day can make is astounding! The swell and wind had increased today but so had the number of sharks and the activity. We headed to the Island to try our luck as it appears that its the best place at the moment. We were in luck with sharks appearing only 20 minutes after the group arrived at the dive site. It appears that today was a day for the big sharks to come out and play with this trip having no juveniles around, that is to say , all sharks were over the 3.0m length! The afternoon trip launched and arrived back at the Island to the sight of a shark circling the cage that we had left out from the first trip, a great start to a trip! The shark was none other than the large female with the parasites on her head and clamp scars on her dorsal fin from yesterday. She was yet again the largest shark of the day measuring in a approximately 4.0m! The rest of the sharks that visited us this trip were ones we were not familiar with, possibly a new group arriving in the bay! A fantastic day to be a White shark cage diver…
