We found ouselves in the shallows today after hearing that the activity at the Island, our Winter diving area, had really slowed down. We were in luck and had a White shark turn up about 30 minutes after arriving and 3 more followed. The first two sharks took it in turns to show up around the boat for the first hour and a half before two others came in for the other half of the trip, one with some very distinguishable scratches on its left side. The second trip started off well with a juvenile spotted as we pulled up to our cage, it dove quickly as we approached by returned about 5 minutes later which cage our divers time to get into their wetsuits. This little shark came and went for the next 25 minutes before we spotted our next shark cruising on the surface towards us. This was a larger male and turned out to be the most active shark today sticking around for all the cages and providing some exciting views. We also had another shark, between the sizes of the other two, turn up towards the end of the trip, however the male was really the star of this trip. We have some very interesting visitors on board Slashfin and today we had an early birthday celebration dive for Neil, two honeymooning couples, Moises and Michelle and Paul and Nicole and a 74 yr old diver, Patricia! Shark cage diving can be an enjoyable activity for all…
