Wake up it’s time to see some White sharks! We were one of the first boats out on the water today with an early launch which paid off as we had sharks around within ten minutes. The shark activity for the first half of the trip was amazing with many different individuals turning up including three females well known to us including “Scarlett” with the bite marks on her head, “Caroline” our small but feisty daily visitor and we welcomed back “Anarchy” one of the females previously tagged with an acoustic transmitter, who we haven’t seen since May this year. It is always nice to see familiar sharks back in the bay especially one that has been part of the research conducted through Marine Dynamics and Dyer Island Conservation Trust! We also had a Short-tailed stingray by for a visit, gliding up before moving back into the depths. Towards the end of the trip the conditions had picked up with a noticibly stronger wind and chop forming, with a great few hours of shark diving and watching done we headed back to the harbour and the warmth of the Great White House…
