Our first trip back on the water after 2 days of bad weather! And what a great trip it was. Within 20 minutes of anchoring up we had our first shark. The 3m male that has been hanging around for a couple of weeks in the shallows now! This shark is the one with two vertical scars on the left hand side just behind his gills. He gave our first three cages some excellent and exciting activity with some stunning passes by the cage. He was also very intrigued by the seal decoy with a couple of investigatory nibbles! We had a very quick and deep pass of a 2m shark and then to close out the trip we got our third individual also of a similar size but paler in colour and with some dark pigmentation marks on the top side of the animal.

For our second trip, we got our self a shark within 30 minutes of being on our anchor site. We had the 3m male first follwoed by some absolutely stunning activity from the clamped 4m female. She gave our divers and our guests on board Slashfin some fantastic photo opportunities. While she cruised around the boat to the delight of our clients we soaked up some of the early afternoon sunshine. After a short wait we had a new shark around the cage who also gave our divers some up close action in the water. With a stingray added in the mix as well we had a wonderful trip.

Our final trip of the day launched in relative warmth for winter! And while we had to wait and move our anchor site slightly on this trip we were rewarded for our persistance. Our first shark was a scratched up 3m male who gave us a few nice passes and then went off to enjoy the rest of his afternoon. Followed by a quick couple of turns from a pale 2m shark. We had a nice sighting of a stingray as well as a hagfish while we waited for our final shark that showed up for the last cage of the day, the 3m male with the bite mark. He gave us some nice action as the sun started to set, and with a boat full of happy divers, off we went back into the harbour.
