It was an early start this morning but it was a beautiful way to start the day even if we didn’t get a Sunday mornng sleep-in! The skies were clear and by the time we were on the water the sun had risen. Once on anchor we only had a ten minute wait for the sharks to show up with the first arrival being the juvenile female we know as “Caroline”, she stuck around for the rest of the trip coming and going as she pleased! We were also graced by the presence of two larger females, “Scarlett” being one of them and the other a darker shark with bearly any markings. We also had two very small yet playful inidividuals around that provided a lot of excitement on board as they leapt out of the water and flashed their sharp, pearly whites! The second trip launched with a bit of a change in the weather conditions as the wind picked up and the chop became more noticable on the water, no worries as the sharks were still active and were around he boat within 15 minutes of being back on acnhor! We had many of the sharks from the morning trip return throughout the afternoon however two larger females showed up both around the 4.0m length and both with old injuries towards there tails but on different sides. Both of our trips today saw the Short-tailed stingray make an appearance before retreated to the murky depths! A FINtastic day to end the week…
