A misty morning in Joubertsdam but we saw a real giant today. The trip started fairly well; we had good visibility and several sub-adult white sharks circling. In the distance we could hear one of our neighbouring shark boats had a big shark but it was too misty to see. As the fog lifted slightly we could see they indeed had a massive shark. We had some big ones of our own but towards the end of the trip the giant appeared. This male must have been close to 5 meters in length, was girthy and was definitely keen on our bait!! He passed close by the cage (which was dawarfed by him), opened his jaws wide and circled over and over. This was an awesome trip…!
