What a beautiful day to be out on the water and go for a little bit of adventure in the form of shark cage diving! The first trip of the day saw sharks within 10 minutes of anchoring, which is great to see in the morning as sometimes they can take a bit of time to come through earlier on in the day. This trip was ruled by the little guys with the majority of those visiting the boat under the 3.5m length mark. The exception to this was “Alvin” who seemed to be on a mission today to see how many of the Kelp Gulls he could catch! Shark – 1, Kelp Gull – 0! The second trip this afternoon had sharks from the get go with a large 4.0m male that we are very familiar with being the first to show up. Not long after a smaller, juvenile individual turned and was shortly followed by “Mini Nemo”, one of our approximately 160 sharks we have named! The satellite SPOT tagged shark we have become so well acquainted with didn’t give up the chance to introduce itself to a new boat full of visitors and popped up mid way through the trip to show off his dorsal fin with tag attached. A great trip to end a great…
