The Marine Dynamics team, guests and the sharks currently residing in Gansbaai all had a little bit of a lay in today with our first trip launching later than what we usually do due to some unfavourable early morning weather conditions. By the time we hit the water the day was looking up with the rain done and the clouds starting to clear. The sharks were on point as well this morning with a surprisingly quick arrival seen for our first big fish, a 4.0m female, affectionately known as Clampy. She was the main shark sighting for the morning, coming and going from view consistently for the first hour before shying off a little and only appearing from the depths now and again. This female was not our only shark with the end of our trip seeing another showing up, a 3.0m male, finishing off the last of our White shark watching for this voyage.

Moving well into our afternoon, our second trip also had some luck with sightings with a small shark making its’ presence known quickly and just as quickly disappearing before an estimated 3.0m shark was seen cruising by however things took a turn to the quieter side after this but with some perseverance a new shark arrival for the trip signaling some stunning activity as the large female from the previous trip returned and continued to be seen for the remainder of the afternoon.
