Trip 1
This morning saw a later start due to some big swell and high winds however these decreased as the day proceeded and in the end it was a lovely day to be out on the water. The first trip of the day had a short wait for the sharks to arrive with the first sharks spotted around thirty minutes after we had arrived. This was a juvenile animal that was soon followed by a White shark a little smaller. The excitement really picked up with the last two shark arrivals for the trip, one a very large female over the 4.0m length that unfortunately did not have much interest in staying around and moved off on another adventure, the other was a smaller female under 3.0m that was the most active on the trip and has now been named “Taryn-it-up” by one of our visitors today.

Trip 2
The second trip of the day launched with fantastic conditions for the afternoon and even better we had a shark around the boat only minutes after arriving in the Shallows. This shark was a large female approximately 3.7m in length, very dark in colour and with a very distinctive notch towards the top of the dorsal fin. This was our only shark for the trip but she was nice enough to stick around for the majority of the trip. Whilst this visibility is proving a huge challenge at the moment to see the sharks this shark spent a lot of the time cruising slowly on the surface around the boat allowing our guests to enjoy the view from on the boat.
