Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seal, Short-tail stingray, Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins + Bottlenose dolphins

Summary: An incredible day on the water with an abundance of wildlife sightings. Leaving Kleinbaai Harbour we encountered our first dolphin species, the endangered Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins. The individuals could be seen feeding and predating within the shallows. As we continued, we then had our second species, the Bottlenose dolphin. A large pod playfully used the wake of the boat, with young individuals accompanying the mature dolphins and offering a truly magical experience. On arrival at the dive site, the Bronze whaler sharks arrived promptly, shortly followed by the Short-tail stingrays. An amazing day overall, thank you to everyone who joined us!
