Conditions: Clear skies with a light, increasing wind and slight swell.

The wind and swell had dropped over night and we headed out this morning onto a stunning bay. It did not take long for the first shark to arrive at Slashfin, with a female just over 3.0m in length appearing as our guests were getting into their wetsuits. This shark was soon followed by another, yet again a female but a tad bit smaller, and another even smaller individual, the smallest of the day measuring in at an estimated 2.2m. Things started to get quite after our first three sharks with a lull in activity for sometime yet before the end of the trip we had two more Great Whites show up, with the largest of the trip giving us all a bit of a surprise as it made it’s approach from deep showing off that dazzling white underbelly. On to our second trip which was off to a great start with a shark spotted within minutes of arriving back on anchor. The activity at the beginning of the trip was consistent with sharks coming and going as the male White sharks in the bay dominated this trip, including one of the current regulars, Clampo, a large individual with very distinct scars on both sides of the dorsal fin. Unfortunately, things started to get slow after the great start to the trip however the sharks continued to show up till close to the end of the day.
