It was not the most pleasant start to the day this morning with some overcast skies threatening to soak us and rain it did but thankfully just a little and we all know that sharks don’t mind a bit of water! We had our first shark of the day not long after we arrived, a not too distinctive juvenile but just behind this one was another juvenile we know very well, “Mini Nemo” came on by to say hello and by hello I mean captivate everyone on board and in the water with his speed and agility and of course his typical behaviour of sneak attempts from below on the bait and decoy lines! This trip also saw a lovely 4.1m female around the boat. The second trip of the day started off well with “Mini Nemo” yet again present. He was all by himself for some time before the large female made her return to show off and gave our visitors a nice comparison between the sizes of sharks we see around the boat and also the different behaviour displayed by the different life stages. This trip was also lucky enough to see “Little Lumpy” the feisty female who is always a crowd pleaser. She did not dissapoint this trip and was one of our more active sharks of the day and is responsible for some great photographs captured, a very photogenic shark she is! Whilst the weather might have been a litte grey toay the shark activity sure wasn’t…
