Trip 1
It appears that we are still adjusting to the seasonal and site changes with our shark activity being very touch and go at the moment. This mornings trip had a long wait with some deteriorating sea conditionsyet were lucky enough to see two White sharks and two Short-tailed stingrays. Due to the challenging visibility and shy sharks not everyone who dived was able to see a shark but everyone did get sightings from the boat.

Trip 2
With the second trip came some apprehension, would we see White sharks? Once back on anchor and with the wetsuits being handed out the first White shark was spotted with relief, a small female we have become quite acquainted with over the last four weeks, and one that has been adopted and named as of today as “3bird”, a mix of the names of the adoptees. We also had two other juvenile White sharks appear but both were a little on the shy side and did not appear to want to approach the boat too closely till the end of our last cage when one slowly took a close pass by our remainding divers.

A difficult yet successful day out in the bay. Thank you to all that joined us on board Slashfin today, your patience and understanding of the nature of these magnificent, wild animals is greatly appreciated.
