Trip 1
When the first shark of the day to appear is “3-Bird” then we know it’s going to be a great day! Our first trip spotted her within 30 minutes of being on anchor and she was just as amazing as always. She’s a 2.7 meter female white shark with very distinct scars on her side and a very active personality. On this trip she was joined by 4 other sharks, 2 of which have been recently adopted. One is a 2.4 meter female named “Sarko” and the other is a 3.6 meter female named “Bella.” All of the sharks are amazing to see, but the scars on these 2 make them easy to distinguish from the other 2 that have not been adopted yet.

Trip 2
Our second trip had a bit more luck than the first with only a 10 minute wait before the first shark appeared. It was quickly joined by a big beautiful female white shark that is about 4 meters long and has a noticeable bent pectoral fin. She also has some scars around her caudal area (the section where the body connects to the caudal fin/tail) and just behind her dorsal fin. “Bella” and “Sarko” returned as well, giving beautiful sitings to those in the cage and on board. It appeared that luck was on our side today!

Trip 3
Our third trip launched in beautiful sunshine and before our divers were even in their wetsuits a shark was coming up to check out the seal decoy. It was the large female from the second trip with the bent pectoral fin. She slowly went for the decoy a few times then went into the deep. During this trip she wasn’t the only big shark we saw. a stunning 4.2 meter long male white shark came to check out our divers, as well as a 4.3 meter long white shark who’s sex could not be determined. Seeing any shark is an amazing site, but seeing these 3 beautiful gentle giants in front of the cage was something that no one could forget. “3-Bird” also came back for this trip, bringing along a small 2.2 meter shark with several propeller wounds along its right caudal. The last shark of the day spent the last half hour of the trip showing off as it made several attempts at the bait line and decoy. Fortunately our bait handler and decoy handler are amazing at their job and this feisty little shark was brought in close to the cage, amazing all of our divers.

Despite a chilly morning, the shark activity appears that it has picked back up and it was another great day at sea!
