Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, Bryde’s whale & Southern Right whale
Summary: Our morning started cool and fresh for the first trip of the day. Despite the winter conditions, calm waters made for a smooth journey to the dive site. Our first trip were lucky enough to sight a Southern Right whale, cruising calmly in the shallows, a sign signifying the approach of our whale season! Whale sightings continued into the second trip, with a second species, the Bryde’s whale appearing. Once at the dive site, the Bronze whaler sharks kept the divers good company, offering up close interactions with these animals. To futher show off the marine life in the area, a Short-tail stingray individual showed interest in the bait, offering a sighting of the world’s largest marine stingray! And the most important cherry on top and the main act – a small Great White shark made an appearance! She spent some time with us and everyone got to see her, even some lucky divers in the water! To all guests who accompanied us on today’s trips, we hope you had a fanatastic time onboard!
