Sightings: Great White Shark & Bronze Whaler Shark

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Moderate

Visibility: 1m +

Conditions: Nice and sunny, with practically no wind

We started our day nice and early, ready to see some sharks. Once we got to the dive location our divers quickly geared up and we started waiting for our first animals to arrive. Today it took us a little bit longer and we had to relocate a bit, but it all paid off when a Bronze Whaler shortly followed by a white shark appeared. A 2.5 m male white shark gave us a few passes letting everyone to enjoy him. The activity around the cage was brilliant with the copper sharks coming really close. As soon as our divers were happy with the sightings, we headed back to the harbour.

For our second trip of the day we headed straight back to our cage in the shallows. It didn’t take us long to get our first shark of the trip. A beautiful copper shark appeared in front of the cage. So our excited divers got into the cage and up close with these awesome sharks! We were joined by a few more so our guests got some excellent sightings from the boat and from the cage today. We had pretty consistent activity throughout the trip, and with the sun shining it was a wonderful afternoon on the water! A few of our keen divers even got the opportunity to jump in the water again! With a happy boat full of guests we headed back to the harbour for some soup and bread!
