HAHA!!! GOT YA!!! Happy April Fool’s everyone!!!
It was great to get back on the water after two days of bad weather and all the strong winds seem to have improved the diving conditions! Aside from being an incredibly calm and warm day, the visibility had improved to a nice 2m and the temperature increased yet again to a lovely 18.3 degrees Celsius, today’s divers really lucked out! The sharks didn’t take long to arrive and although we started with a smaller feisty juvenile of roughly 2.7m, eventually even the big ones were swimming round us. We had a beautifully graceful 4.4m girthy female who came round for both trips to make everyone’s eyes pop, and “Ninja” came to give us some of her infamous half-breaches! There was also a 3.6m shark on our second trip that had a tiny little suckerfish attached to its dorsal fin, always an exciting sight as we don’t see them very often. The warm temperatures brought one of our friendly Short-Tailed stingrays to the surface again who was hanging round the decoy for quite some time and coming up to check it out. It really was a fantastic day to get back on the water…
