The first trip of today was an Exclusive for the Vitale, Sforzo and Krug families who decided to spend their second day in South Africa with us in the search for a glimpse of the Great White Shark! Our first stop this morning was the Alley to see the seals on Geyser Rock. We are at the end of pupping season so the sight that greeted us was swarms of small dark fur seal pups! Once at our dive site, we had a bit of a slow beginning, however it picked up towards the end with two new shark arrivals. The second trip of the day saw the return of our large male sharks that we have been seeing frequently over the past few days. Not only is their size impressive, their behaviour is very calm like, with slow, surface approaches in front of the cage! Our last and final trip of the day saw some times of inactivity followed by some amazing shark action which made up for the wait. During these times of inactivity a large Short-Tailed Stingray continuously glided up into view. We were lucky enough to see one of our named and known individuals “Jacob” today who has only just returned to us in the last few days after a 10 week absence. Always great to see a familiar shark around the boat…
