It was a beautiful start to the morning with the sun shining and a light breeze as the first trip of the day boarded Slashfin and prepared to head to our diving area. Once at the site those on board had a bit of a wait till the first shark turned up. This happened throughout the trip as new individuals turned up and had their turn in the spotlight before leaving. The second trip launched as the winds and swell started to increase. It was a fun ride out to our site, and we had the whole bay to ourselves as we were the only dive company out. Once we arrived it wasn’t long before the tell-tale shadow making its way up our chum slick was spotted. The afternoon trip deferred from the morning trip in that it was dominated by larger individuals between the sizes of 3.5m – 4.0m whereas the first trip had many smaller ones. Whilst the smaller individuals may not be as impressive to look at they certainly have the personalities/ behaviours to wow the crowd with quick turns and multiple passes by the cage. An impressive day out on the water…
