On Friday the 15th of May Marine Dynamics hosted and sponsored a cocktail evening at The Great White House, Gansbaai for the Media24 Rachel’s Angels bi-annual Market Day, which took place in Gansbaai on the 16th of May.
The event was hosted by Gansbaai Academia, and 20 schools forming part of the Media24 Rachels Angels empowerment project showed off their entrepreneurial skills and business know-how as part of the day. Teams from the participating Western Cape schools each had a stall, offering handmade arts and crafts, jewellery, body art, clothing, notepads, phone pouches and much more. Jumping castles and face-painters were on hand to entertain and keep the young ones occupied.
Performances by the likes of Beatenberg, Oshri, London Louw & Hemelbesem, just to mention a few, kept the crowd entertained, before, during and after the Mr&Mrs Rachels Angels competition. Other familiar faces included Kim Cloete, Oros Mampofu and Charles Tertiens also known as Karl Ahari.
This years Market Day theme was Save our Ocean, a perfect fit for the greater Gansbaai community given its proximity to and dependency on the ocean for generating work and attracting tourism.

Zolani Mbeki from the Zolani Mbeki Foundation sponsored the visit for Ilz Saunders, Miss Earth South Africa 2014 and Liesl Laurie,Miss South Africa 2015. The Non-Profit Organization is committed to mentor, empower and develop rural- born children to explore, develop and pursue their dreams and talents, enhance their quality of life and develop their self-esteem.
