Marine Dynamics welcomes Mike Horn and his Young Explorers!

We at Marine Dynamics shark tours were stoked to have Mike Horn and his group of Young Explorers on Slashfin yesterday! Mike is without a doubt one of the most world-renowned explorers who has famously accomplished a solo journey around the equator without motor transport as well as a two-year 3 month solo circumnavigation of the Arctic Circle in 2004 – and that’s only to name a few. With this knowledge and experience, he created the Mike Horn Young Explorers program which takes young driven individuals across the world aboard their unique sailing vessel Pangaea (pictured below). They participate in educational programs and activities around the globe, and we were excited for the chance to show these future world changers the magnificent white shark.

As if this wasn’t awesome enough, we were also able to catch up with their Young Explorers program coordinator, none other than former Marine Dynamics shark biologist, Michael Scholl! Our boat has definitely improved since the early 2000s, but the sharks were hopefully the same.
