Marine Dynamics received “Highly Commended” award at the annual Responsible Tourism Awards at World Travel Market in London. World Travel Market London is the leading global event for the travel industry, generating more than £2.8 billion of business contracts between attendees. Now in its 37th year, this show attracts a global audience that shape the travel industry.
Shark and whale tourism by Marine Dynamics and Dyer Island Cruises is making a real difference to conservation and community in the unique Dyer Island ecosystem. To be recognised through international awards highlights the critical work and the species, Great White sharks and the endangered African penguin and the rest of the Marine Big 5 – dolphins, seals and whales. Marine Dynamic’s mission is to discover, protect and educate and every day works hard to change perceptions and encourage behaviour change believing that we can all make a difference.
Marine Dynamics is helping to position South Africa as a competitive global destination with unique attractions, and is spreading the valuable message of marine conservation around the world.
“Getting to know more about each other remains one of the most important hopes for the peaceful future of the planet. If we are really to understand each other better, then we need to be reminded to travel carefully and thoughtfully, listening to people along the way and respecting the world we are privileged to travel through. The Responsible Tourism Awards are one of the most important ways in which we can understand how to travel better” – Michael Pali
We would also like to congratulate our Tourism Partner, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, on receiving their award for “Best for Accommodation”.
A big thank you to all those who support our company and conservation work and recognise that ‘Your Choice Makes a Difference’.
