The clouds were setting in this morning however the water was calm as we set out for the day. We chose to anchor in the shallows again today as it seems to be where we are finding the sharks at the moment, alas we had no luck for the first 30 minutes so moved a little closer to the shore and within minutes had our first shark of the trip. We had a theme of smaller sharks on this morning’s trip with the sizes ranging from 2.0m up to 3.3m, however whilst they may be small these little ones have great, active personalities. A highlight of this trip was the arrival of a juvenile with an injury to its right pectoral fin which has caused it to look like it has stunted growth, therefore it has become known to those onboard as “Mini Nemo”! Unfortunately the calm conditions did not last into the afternoon for our second trip with the wind picking up and the water becoming choppy. This thankfully did not affect our sharks and we had some of the individuals from our first trip sticking around with the addition of the largest shark for the day, a 3.4m female! Some amazing moments with some amazing creatures…
