After three days off the sea due to bad weather, the first trip of the day headed out not knowing what to expect. Choppy seas and overcast conditions greeted us as we arrived at our dive site in the shallows, but after a short wait our first shark made an appearance around the boat. This shark hung around a while, making lazy passes by the cage towards the bait and the decoy, and once moving on was replaced by a much smaller individual who was much more lively, giving our divers in the cage as well as our guests on the boat some fantastic views! Our second trip of the day saw no waiting for our sharks with one sighted upon arrival! This activity continued throughout the afternoon however we did experience a lull in action half way through our trip, before it picked up again! Our largest of the day was a 4.3m female spotted at the beginning of the trip before vanishing into the depths and then returning later on in the afternoon. During one point of the trip our smallest shark and our largest were in front of the cage at the same time with the small individual tailing the larger one. The star of the trip however goes to a 3.0m male that was extremely active and was constantly trying to sneak up on the decoy with burst of speed followed by leaps out of the water! A great day to be back on the water with such active sharks…
