It wasn’t a particularly great day out at sea today weather wise, as the swells were rather large. However, the sun was shining and we had beautiful surrounding views from our dive site in the shallows. Unfortunatley, it took a while before we saw any sharks, but it the meantime we were treated to a southern right whale calf breaching in the distance while its mother swam beside it. It was a great sight which all our passengers really enjoyed. It wasn’t long after that that out first and only shark made an appearance. Whilst it was breif it did do a partial breach, much the delight of all the divers in the cage, along with all the passengers on board. Wildlife really is unpredictable, but even just seeing a quick glimpse of the majestic white shark makes you appreciate how wonderful they are.
