Number of Sharks: 8 + 9

 

Conditions: Low swell and calm seas, but very windy conditions!

 

A slow start to the day in the Shallows, with no luck in attracting sharks. After about an hour and a half’s wait we moved over to the Geldstein area just outside of shark alley, and were rewarded by some fantastic sharks making an appearence around our boat!  The case was the same for our second trip, many of the sharks hanging around the cage were the same from the first trip, and all of them were fantastic in their enthusiastic passes infront the cage and some fantastic breaching on the attempts on the bait as well! We had a third trip today, although it was an “ecotrip”. More of a ride around the bay than a cage diving trip, but we did swing back to our dive site and chum to show our guests some sharks, having a couple from the previous trip make a re-appearence, still being fantastic in their displays of just what makes these sharks the GREAT white!
