Whilst it was a lovely out on the water this morning patience was key with a very slow start to the day! We waited three hours and made a few changes to anchor in the hopes of seeing a shark however it wasn’t until we were due to head back to land that our first shark finally made an appearance! Thanks to “Scarlett”, one of our favourites in the bay at the moment, we pushed the trip an hour more so that we could watch this magnificent animal. In the end we had two different sharks make an appearance, “Scarlett” and a smaller male that we have had around the boat lately as well. Thank you to all those that joined us on Slashfin this morning and patiently waited to see a shark, we appreciate you all understanding that we deal with nature and that on slow trips like today’s, we try our best to show you these wild animals! The afternoon trip was an exclusive trip for three friends visiting from the Unites States and wanting to have a close up and personal experience with a White shark! Both sharks from the first trip were still around and “Scarlett” ended up being the star of the afternoon spending most of her time circling around us and making lovely, slow approaches on both the bait and decoy lines! A slow but successful day in the Shallows…
