The first trip of the day headed out early and made its’ way into the Shallows. We didn’t have long to wait for our first shark of the day to turn up, but the visibility was making it very difficult to see the animals so we waited patiently for a shark that was happy to get nice and close to the cage which didn’t take long with a number of sharks arriving that glided by the cage within arms reach. Before heading back to the harbour we went by Geyser Rock to see if we could spot the Elephant seal that has been there over the last few days however no such luck with seeing her, possibly she has left the area. On our second trip for today we were lucky with the shark sightings, just like the day before. We only had to wait a couple of minutes for the first shark to come closer and investigate the divers in the cage. Later on we spotted Mini Rosie a well-known Great White that visits this area. Mini Rosie was followed by Rosie, who showed up just as we were getting ready to head back towards the harbour. For a short while we were entertained by a juvenile Cape gannet diving into the water right next to our vessel Slashfin. The third and final trip was for a film crew from Germany and South Africa and lucky the sharks were behaving this afternoon and the red tide had cleared from the bay so that the team could get some amazing footage. We are fortune to see such amazing wildlife every day…
