Both trips were on the slower side today, not with quantity or quality of sharks, but rather the wait time between passes. We were fortunate enough to have many larger sharks visit us, having a total of four sharks throughout the day measuring roughly 4m or above, including an impressively girthy 4.1m shark! To put the 4m sharks into perspective, “Mini Nemo” showed up for a few passes, at 2.4m this little guy makes most sharks look big! Supplying us with the majority of the action was “Alvin” attempting to sneak up on both the decoy and bait line, and the acoustically tagged shark from Port Elizabeth, who appeared to be favouring the bait line. The sharks may have been taking their time between passes, but these graceful curious animals are always worth the wait…
