Another sunny, clear, winter trip at Dyer Island. The first sharks to arrive were juvenilles within the 2.5-2.9m size range, one with a badly damaged dorsal fin which we think may have been caused by fishing line. We really enjoy seeing smaller sharks, as they often have such a bold and inquisitive nature. Then arrived the larger sharks, measuring between 4-4.5m. One really impressive female shark made the most amazing passes by the cage, completely ignoring the bait line, she eyeballed the divers time and time again! In all, stunning top to bottom visibility (approx 10m) and water temperature of 16 degrees celcius, made for the perfect dive. We saw 14 sharks in total.
