We had the sharks around us instantly today, with the arrival of 3.5m acoustically tagged shark who has been in the area for a while now. Our largest shark of the day was a 4.1m female who turned up on our first trip just in time for our youngest diver, 12 year-old Raymond, to climb in the cage. This gorgeous female stuck around for our second trip as well and gave the divers many close passes! The most active shark we’ve had over the past few days turned up for the end of our second trip, and gave us some of those fast paced jumps we’ve come to anticipate. This feisty 3.5m male is easily recognized based on a large chip missing from the front of his dorsal fin, prompting one of our volunteers to nickname this guy “Alvin” from Alvin and the Chipmunks…
