Another successful summers trip! Today we were faced with many challenges for shark cage diving, westerly winds are usually our winter winds and often make the inshore location quite uncomfortable to anchor in. Additionally, we were faced with poor visibility from an algae bloom. However after only a five minute wait a 3.0m shark began to circle us, its grayish shadow illuminated by the murky green background. The action just continued and our family dived multiple times! Finally ‘Matilda’ arrived, she is a majestic 4.0m female with an acoustic tag. She passed the cage very closely giving our family some excellent views underwater.
