We could barely feel a breath of wind out at sea today and the sun was out in full force, perfect conditions for shark cage diving. After a bit of a wait we started off with one of my personal favourite sharks, “Rosi”, she never disappoints. Our largest shark was a large 4.2 meter male known by the alias of “Malcolm X”, also a fantastic shark to have around. We were very lucky to see some massive flocks of both Gannets and Cormorants all over the place. One of the highlights of the trip must have been the sighting of a young sub-adult Cape Fur Seal that just kept chasing our large sharks around. Displaying the fact that these are highly intelligent prey items that should not be trifled with. Awesome day…
