Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 16.5’C

Depth: 9.75m

Visibility: 4m+2m

Number of Sharks:  15+11

Conditions: Overcast cleared to sun

The day started out overcast but the sun soon peeked its way through the clouds, making for a nice warm day to spend with the sharks!  We had lots of sharks on both trips, with the largest one being “Split fin” a very girthy 4.5m female who we know well.  She held the record for biggest shark on both trips, but didn’t stay long for either, just gave us a few close passes and was on her way again.  The sharks were on the calmer side today, staying mostly below the surface which was great for the divers, and the shining sun made it so we had a perfect view from the deck as well! The most activity came from the infamous “Hotspot” who showed up right at the end of our second trip and gave us a few nice half breaches before we headed back to the harbour.  We can always count on “Hotspot” for a good show…-Helen
