Location: Joubertsdam
Visibility: 4m
Water Temp: 16.5’C
Sharks Sighted: 10
Conditions: Flat/calm

Wow, one of those stunning days on the water, conditions as ‘flat as’ with sharks big and small, left, right and center. We sighted 10 throughout the trip, and we are trying not to get a head of ourselves here, but so far; this has been one of the best Januarys’ for years. Visibility was good too which meant shark sightings were stunning. We sighted a large male early on but he only made a pass or two and then later a large female came in and she was in the mood to come close and make pass after pass. Finally we had time to head to Dyer Island to check out the seals, they look as happy as ever during the summer time but I’ve got a feeling winter is just around the corner and it won’t be too long until Shark Alley sees the return of the sharks.
