The sharks decided to sleep in today as we had just over an hour wait time before we saw our first shark in the chum line. We were very excited to get the ball rolling with this first shark, a juvenile male, and even more thrilled to see the first six sharks arrive as if all together, it was new shark after new shark passing by us! Both trips started primarily with the juvenile sharks, until we had one adult male about 4.2m turn up. We’ve seen this male a few times around the boat, with a significant bite wound atop his head, but he never came to the surface for us; until today! This large male was likely our most active shark of the day coming to the surface to check out both the bait and decoy and even trying a few surprise leaps on the bait line. It’s always impressive to have a shark on the larger side swim by for a look but even more impressive when they actually work with us…
