Massive sharks around the boat today with at least three 4.5 meter giants making their presence known. We had several sharks of all sizes making an appearance, “3 Spot” seems to be the largest shark in the area at the moment clocking in at 4.6 meters in length. This is the same length as “Maureen” who was also seen on our second trip with her prominent satellite tag, “3 Spot” has much more girth though. Water temperature is still holding at the 16 degree margin which is great for our clients who are from the warmer climates. We were lucky enough to have spotted two Southern Right Whale mother and calf pairs, on both our trips, just outside the harbour. The one calf is well known by our whale boat as “Spotty”, this little calf is famous for its breaching activities. Awesome day on the water…
