Windy conditions on the water did not keep our sharky friends away, it did create a bit of a chill though. We had some close encounters with “Sally” our seal decoy when a large shark surprised us and nearly took her away from us. Luckily our sister company Dyer Island Cruises was out doing a whale watching trip and brought her back to us. We were also lucky enough to spot “King Fish”, the newly tagged shark from our research team. This large female has some unique scars which makes her easy to recognise, her left pectoral fin is curled upwards. This is a shark that we have been seeing in the area for some time now and we hope that she divulges some interesting movement patterns for us to analyse. All in the name of science and knowledge. Great day out…
