Conditions: Calm, becoming choppy by the end of the day

The seas were calm and there were barely any clouds over head as we set out to Joubertsdam this morning. Within 10 minutes or so we’d picked our spot and began waiting for the sharks to show up. It took a little while but the first shark to visit was Poseidon; a 2.8-3m male tagged with the Ocearch in Mossel Bay earlier this year, and before long we had 3 or 4 sharks circling. A total of 7 sharks visited Slashfin ranging in size from 2.5-4m in length, we were also lucky enough to site several Southern Right Whales as well.
