Yet again another beautiful day out in the bay with the sun shining and just a little bit of wind to keep things fresh! We had a small wait this morning for our sharks to show up, but patience is key and that patience paid off when a small clean shark showed up closely followed by one of our well known sharks “Mini Nemo”. Both these individuals kept their distance from the cage, giving those on board more of a view then those first divers in the water however about 15 minutes after the first sharks’ arrival a very large male whom we have seen a few times recently came into view and decided to give our divers that Great White close up of a life time as he went gliding right by the cage! This is when things started to heat up and we had continuous activity from here on in. We were visited by both “Sellendilloh” and “Alvin” this morning, and both were just as active as ever bringing that amazing speed and agility to the boat and seemingly appearing out of nowhere and leaping out of the water! We also saw two sharks that have recently been sighted with new injuries. Both these larger male sharks have showed up  to the boat with fresh marks on them, one looking like bite marks from another sizable shark, however neither appear life threatening and in due time should heal over. The afternoon trip tells a similar story with some great shark activity. The sharks were still around from the morning when the second trip arrived, so it was into the water straight away for these divers! Some days we see different sharks throughout the day as they come and go from the area, however today many of the same sharks stuck around the boat, coming in from a distance and up from the depths as they pleased. A fantastic day to be a shark cage diver…
