It was a beautifully calm day on the water, and it didn’t take long for the sharks to show up. The day started with a bang, as “Lukas” was one of our first sharks around the cage and she was as keen for the bait as ever, giving us some very impressive half breaches! Our largest shark appeared right at the end of the trip, this 4.2m shark stayed deeper down giving everyone on board just a glimpse at how remarkably large these gorgeous creatures can be. We also had “Little Roundy” and “Little Lumpy” amongst the crowd today, and both juveniles were keeping Alfred, our bait handler, on his toes as they attempted to sneak up on the bait from the deep. The conditions were perfect to end the trip with a visit to Shark Alley to view the Cape Fur seals relaxing in the sun and cooling off in the water. All in all a fantastic day in office…
