11/02/13 Trip 2
Location: Joubertsdam
Visibility: 1m
Water Temp: 14.7’C
Sharks Sighted: 2
Conditions: Calm

A case of little and large this afternoon in Joubertsdam as we sighted one large shark and one small one. The large one was a female who’s been in the area for a week or two; she’s most distinctive by some scratches on her side and a white mark on the fin, she’s about 4 and a bit meters in length and certainly an impressive example of a white shark! The large female was sighted throughout the trip but towards the end she was joined by a small shark with a big personality – Roundy. Roundy is one of the smallest sharks in the bay at the moment, only around 2.5 meters or so but she’s full of character and wasn’t put off by her much larger sister being close by. It was a great surprise to have my friend Beth on the trip today; Beth and I went to University of Southampton together and I had no idea she was coming on the trip today!
