It was a very early start today, but it was truly beautiful to see the sunrise take place from Slash Fin. We opted for the early start in an attempt to miss the big weather that was scheduled for this afternoon. The conditions at sea were very nice with barely any waiting time for the sharks to show up. Great shark sightings today with two sat tagged sharks making an appearance; the one was a very large female at 4.5 meters in length. We had another of Nat Geo’s camera mounted sharks around the boat today. This one was different from the rest in that it was missing the camera, but the mount was still attached. We were able to successfully remove the mount with little effort and no stress to the animal. Foreign objects such as these gain lots of algal growth very rapidly, if it doesn’t detach on its own its best to remove it when possible. Great day out…
