There was no shortage of sharks in the Joubertsdam area today as we managed to reach the double digits in our shark counts on two out of our three very successful trips! We had sharks of all sizes swimming around us, ranging from 2.6m up to 4.1m, each shark was impressive in its own way. One of our smallest sharks today was a real trooper staying with us right from our first trip out this morning through our third trip this afternoon! It’s a little shark we know as “Mini Nemo” since it’s missing a large portion of its right pectoral fin from what appears to have been a bite. We ended our last trip of the day off with a visit to Shark Alley, to see our colony of Cape Fur seals on Geyser Rock allowing all the divers to experience the strong scent of natural chum! With the warm sun, small swells and minimal wind, it was a beautiful day to be out on the water…
