Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 12.4’C
Depth: 10.8m
Visibility: 5m
Number of Sharks: 7
Conditions: Choppy

Our honeymoon couple brought us lots of luck today. We have had a strong Southeasterly wind blowing through the area for the past week causing water temperatures to decline. Fortunately, white sharks can easily adapt to a variety of temps and they remained active today. Guests were also treated to stunning visibility for our area, making it much easier to determine the sex of the sharks. Sadly, one shark had a large wound on his jaw which appeared to be caused from a hook that got pulled out. White sharks can heal quite quickly, but we still hate to see damage caused by human influences.

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then White Shark Diving in Gansbaai, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
