Another two very successful trips today, both dominated by larger sharks! The first trip had the majority of the action coming from a 3.7m male who continuously turned in front of the cage for the divers. Right at the end of the first trip, our favourite 3.7m female with the rosi, turned up to show off with a few of her jumps on both the bait line and decoy. “Mini Nemo” joined us for the second trip as our smallest shark of the day at 2.4m; we haven’t seen this smaller juvenile in about 2 months so it’s always nice to see she’s still in the bay. Most of the action, however, came from a 3.8m shark with a nice bite in her right pectoral fin, whose determination was set on the bait line. Each day we seem to be sighting more and more of the larger sharks in the area, their increased abundance is a nice sign that seal hunting season is on the horizon…
